1 red onion
12-15 beef short ribs, rinsed & patted dry
1/4 cup The Pampered Chef Spicy Pineapple Sauce
1 cup ketchup
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 Tbsp vinegar (I recommend a flavored one, like apple cider)
2 Tbsp + The Pampered Chef Smoky Bbq Rub, divided
Chop onions & place in the bottom of your slow cooker. Season short ribs with Smoky BBQ Rub and place in the slow cooker on the onions.
Mix together the pineapple sauce, ketchup, brown sugar, vinegar & 2 Tbsp Smoky BBQ Rub. Pour over short ribs.
Best to cook on low for 8-10 hours. I needed to make sure they got done earlier today, so I did on high for 2 hours & then on low for the next 6ish hours.
Serving suggestion, after you remove the ribs, strain & defat the cooking liquid. Serve warm, as sauce, on the side.
