1 apple, sliced into 8 slices (an apple wedger is perfect for this)
1 can crescent rolls
1/4 cup melted margarine
1/2 cup sugar
3/4 cup Mountain Dew
It’s a personal preference, you can peel the apple or not.
Place a slice of apple starting at the little end of the triangle of crescent dough. Wrap the apple in the dough so no apple is showing. Place in a baking dish, an 8×8, 9×9 or round dish works well.
Mix the margarine and sugar together. Place a dollop of the sugar mixture on each apple dumpling. Pour the Mountain Dew around the dumplings, not over the top, so the dumplings are sitting in the liquid.
Bake at 350 for 40 min. Serve warm. Best with a glass of milk or vanilla ice cream.
